Mojave, California

Sep 6, 2012
Flying from Boron, California.

While driving past Boron I spotted this large solar power station.

It's a really large array, but I couldn't fly high enough to get a really good view,
because this is in a restricted zone next to Edwards airbase.

This is the Boron airfield that I used.
It's a really interesting low-market, old fashioned airfield.

Farther north at Tehachapi I found all these wind turbines.
There are 5,000 turbines in this area!
And that's only the second largest wind farm in California, about 15,000 altogether in the state.
